Default I need help now!!

I just helped a friend of mine install indiglo guages in his 99 accord sedan. It's automatic with a 4 cylinder 2.2L vtec. We installed the guages and everything looked fine. Well now the car won't shift from park. The check engine light is on and the brake lamp is on. He has to go to court in like 5 hours and we have to fix it. I'm begging anyone and everyone to help me on this.

check to see if the brake lights work? if they dont check for power at the brake switch near the brake pedal! or check the fuses! if the brake lights work check for power coming into the shifter soleniod! all in al there should be a little slot that will let you shift the car out of gear!!

There is a by-pass mechanism for the shift interlock. Just put the key in the slot by the shifter and put the car in neutral. Then start the car and drive it. Then, when you have time, find out what you broke. A blown brake light fuse could cause your problem.
