Default I need HELP with drive-axle removal!!!

I am in the middle of swapping my engine out and need some serious help in removing my drive-axles. My shop manual tells me to loosen the center lugs on the wheel hub, well i have basically tried everything and the thing wont budge, i was hoping i can get some advice before i hook up the pneumatic tomorrow.

Please hook me up with any info, drive-axle or otherwise, that will make taking out my engine on hell of a lot easier. thanks

firstly leave the car on the ground. this will make things so much easier. see how the outside ring is like dented in into the notch on the axle? some pple move this out but i didnt even notice it the first time i did it and i just broke it loose with sheer force. spray generously with wd-40. use socket specifically for axle nut and 1/2 inch drive ratchet. slip long, strong bar over handle of ratchet (i use the upper half of the bar off of my 3.5 ton jack). if u weigh a mere 140 lbs like me, u mite wanna get a friend to help u too. get as far out on the bar as u can to get more leverage. my friend and i found pushing down on the bar to be less effective cuz we're both light, so we opted with either pulling upward, or pushing horizontally. at one point during pulled we actually lifted the car off the ground and turned the wheel. just alotta sweat and determination and yelling obscene remarks at the bolts will eventually get it off. or i guess u can use an impact gun if u have a nice strong one. but that sucks all the fun outta it.

a BFH (big fu*king hammer). strong wrench/socket, and a big breaker bar.

its torqued to over 120ft lbs so you gotta work at it ot get it off.
