so tonight im going to go look at a 04 accord k24a4 swap... I was wondering what should I be looking for other then the basics....he says it has only 40k on the motor and trans and was running when it was pulled. It was pulled because the car was totaled out...TY! for some much needed help in advance!

 

Can't tell much with it out of the car.

 

Get the car fax. Make sure the serial numbers are intact on the engine block. Check the engine for proper operation. Use a wrench and try to turn the crank. It should spin easily with resistance as the pistons compress the air in the cylinders and then release as the valves open.
