i have a 99 civic hx an i just had a cam gear put in an they adjusted the 6 degrees forward but im loosing alot of gas... can anyone help me step by step showing me how to pull it back to normal or 3 degrees.... i lost more than half my gas mileage i really need help thanks

 

Who put it to 6 degrees??? That is a huge amount..1-3 degrees max, but 6!!

All you do is loosen the bolts, then you reference the same 6 degree mark you are working from, and put it back to a decent number.

Are you running a pre 1995 SOHC cam gear on your D16y5?
