I KEEP BLOWING THE SAME FUSE!! PLEASE HELP!
Okay so I was driving the other day. And i was coming up to a stop, i put the car in neutral and it just died out. As I was still rolling i tried doing a rolling start up, didnt start. So i pulled over, and noticed my fuel pump was not turning on. All power turns on tough. Then when i popped the hood i checked all the fuses, and noticed one was blown. Its the top left fuse (15) size. I replaced it, and blew out the same fuse 50 miles later. Replaced it again and it blew out 15 miles later. Then 5 miles later. And now its popping fuses at every start up, and i noticed some smoke coming through the dash. Does anyone know how to help... please thank you
Check a wiring diagram and see where the fuse leads to. Disconnect the negative battery cable and use a multimeter to test the resistance between each side of the fuse socket and bare metal on the car body. If one side shows anything but infinite ohms, check the wire coming from that side of the fuse socket. Follow it until you find the short. If it goes behind your dash and you can't get to it from underneath, you may just try running a new wire from the fuse box the the component it goes to. The short may also have damaged other electrical components so fixing it may not get you running fine just yet. If both sides show infinite ohms, you may have to check both sides, starting with the side that leads behind the dash.
MM&Y of car?
Is it a G3 Integra?
What is the fuse number?
Are you saying that the fuse will blow right away, but not until you try and start the car?
Will it blow if you just turn on the ign. to run, or do you have to turn ign. to start? 94
