Hi all I know this sounds like a stupid question, and I have my flame suit equipped but I want to know what the reprecussions would be of putting in 87 Octane fuel into a DOHC VTEC engine that requires 92? would the car just not start or could much worse things happen if done? I'm not planning on doing this I'm just curious to the what would happen. thanks

It will retard the timing and argueably run like ****. I would imagine that with GSRs being as aged as they are and gas prices being what they are that there are a lot of GSRs that see 87 every day.
