Hey, welcome to Honda-Tech. Before you start messing with the internals of your engine, first make sure you have all your bolt-on modifications done. If you don't have an intake of any type I would get one of them first. Then you'll probably also benefit from a high-flow catalytic converter as the stock one is probably showing it's age.
As for doing some cams, that would be a great start on doing internal work. Do alot of searching around on here and in the All-Motor forum and you'll find some great information about what kind of cams to get. When doing cams I'd also replace the valve springs as the stock ones are showing their age I'm sure at 15 yrs. I would stick with the stock valve retainers because there have been inicidents where aftermarket retainers have cracked and caused alot of motor damage. The stock ones will work fine for you. If you do the valve springs I would go and do the valve stem seals while you're at it because at 15 yrs I'm sure they are leaking a bit and you're losing some oil. Good luck
