I got a new dizzy for my B16
I have been having alot of probems with my B16 in my crx latly and the tach started bouncy the other day so I ordered a new dizzy as I found it for the same price as a new ignitor. But Im just wondering what all is involved in switching them out. I was thinking about just going around the bolts with marker so I know where to line it up. It that all there is too it is just the 2 harness plugs and the three bolts? I know you have to make sure its not 180 degrees out but thats self explaniory. Just making sure I can do this because I know you can really mess stuff up with timing/ignition.
Yeah just scrape a line on the top bolt so you know where to line it up, remove it install new one.. Its hard to install it 180 degrees off unless its kinda worn.. if you do install it 180 off you will know cause your car wont start. SO no worries my friend.
It only fits in one way so you cant mess that up. The timing is going to change with the new distributor no matter what so you should adjust it afterwards the proper way.
