Ok i don't know much about AC because in every car i have had i removed it but i just bought a 00 civc and when i turn on my AC is will work fine for a few minutes but then my car will start to shake and drive like ****. Is there anything I can check for that would cause this.

 

Try a recharge.

 

that would make it do that. The air doesn't blow the coldest but it is pretty cool when it does come out.

see if your compressor is locking up or the tensioner on the belt is going bad. i think there is a recal on that.

 

before doing anything else make sure BOTH yoru fans are coming on. if the condenser fan is not then the charge gets too hot and the compressor starts having a REALLY hard time with the pressure.
