Default I can't seperate 91 SI engine and trans.

How do you do this? Is there some trick to this? I just cant figure how to do it? I took out all the bolts, crow bar, grabbing the trans and shaking. AUGGH!!

did you take the starter out?? One of the starter bolts goes thru the tranny casing into the block... if you've taken ALL the bolts out... keep shaking and shaking and shaking...

did you take the starter out?? One of the starter bolts goes thru the tranny casing into the block... if you've taken ALL the bolts out... keep shaking and shaking and shaking...

That would be the obvious solution, check all of the bolts. He does live in Detroit, and they salt the roads there.... Do you think that it is possable that there is rust holding the input shaft to the clutch disk? Or maybe the dowel pins are corroded? I have never worked on a car that is from back east, so I really don't know.

put down the crowbar for one. dont break any casings.
pull the lower starter bolt, that gets everyone.
then try to disengage the clutch and it should pop apart as easy as that. if not its got some bolts.

Yeah, it was the starter bolt. Took that out and it came right off. Thanx. Mista bone what is a "PM" that you said you sent me. Hey where do you live?

Dont forget there is a bolt above the drivers side axel going through the block and threading into the Transmission instead of vica versa.
