I was wondering if a clutch kit for a 92 civic- sohc eg with a hydro 5 speed tranny, work in a 91 civic- sohc ef with a cable 4 speed tranny? Are there the same amount of splines on both of the transmission input shafts?

Yes there the same. 90 to 00 used the same clutch disc, pressure plate and bearings.
