i have a single cam O2 sensoron an LS motor, and need to know how to hardwire it into the ECU to make it like a four wire sensor? thanks
after searching and inferring::::::do i just make the one wire coming off of the sensor into 2 by splicing 2 wires to it, then run those 2 wires to the ecu directly???

If its an 88-91 civic/crx or 90-91 integra, I believe you'll need to upgrade to OBD1 or 2 in order for the ecu to look a 4-wire 02.
88-91 ecu's don't look for a 4-wire 02, only single wire, unless you have some standalone 4-wire 02 system ....
nah man...92 hatch...the single wire is the O2 signal...so dont i only have to connect that to the White (signal) wire at the ECU...?
If you're down to get a used engine harness, pick up a used 92-95 DX 5speed harness, which will already have the 4-wire 02 embedded into the harness. It will then be plug n' play, ie. you wont have to wire anything 02 related to your ecu. If you go this route, make sure you have a 4-wire 02 also

some of the 92-95 that came with 1 wire o2 can be easily converted with the Si or EX harness or even del sol S for 4 wire operation.

Not to jack the thread, but is there any way to hook up a 4-wire O2 safely to a 1-wire O2 non-OBD setup? Reason I ask is the different O2 sensor placement, I'm not sure with the engine heat and internal heater on the O2 sensor going off switched power it would burn out that much quicker on a B16A.

well....like I mentioned above, I believe you need to have an ECU(92+) or some stand alone system that looks for a 4-wire 02 to take advantage of 4-wire 02 sensor if I'm not mistaken.
heres how it went down,..its an LS swap, with a CX engine wire harness...thats y he said 1 wire O2..DUH...!! so when i discovered the 4 wire sensor i was all confused..and followed these simple directions...
HOW-TO...lol everyone knows...
1 black and green spliced together groundedother black to ignition switch
white to white O2, which i just connected to the CX O2 wire which is single white anyways...lol..
Product...test jumped it and no codes regarding the O2..YAY
