How to tell if ecu is in open loop mode?

I have a p28 ecu in a 96 civic ex. Of course this likes throwing codes.... im getting code 14 (iacv) and 43 (fuel system supply) but my car runs fine. I was just wondering if these error codes are making my car run to rich? Any way I can fix this? Thanks

Mine runs fine, maybe it is your conversion harness, and not the ecu.

The OBD1 p28 should run the OBD2 engine with NO codes.

Until your car is fully warmed up, as far as coolant and O2 sensor, it is in open loop. It only goes closed when it gets warm, and starts reading the O2 sensor.

Your Idle air control solenoid could be going bad, throwing those codes.
