If you have a gsr and a ls you can tell by the rod journal width. The gsr journal is shorter. It should be about twice the width of the rod big end plus about .015".It would be nice if they had p72 or pr4 but they don't.

Would be nice if there were a definitive guide to identifying b16-b18a/b-b18c-b18cR-b20a-etc..

try grabbing a stock rod, if a ls rod is too big, the crank is gsr

i found a good way to tell. the gsr and typer's outer edge of the counter weight has been machined flat on all of the counter weights. the LS is only machined on the next to last ones on each end and the two center ones. also, the type r has more material in each lobe. it is kinda hard to explain without a pic, but the easiest way to tell is that the type r has a big raised letter R on it. kinda hard to miss.
