how to set up fuel maps for VTEC?
The V-AFC unit has a progressive mapping system between what you set as low-throttle air-fuel ratio and high-throttle air-fuel ratio. By default, low-throttle is set at 10% throttle, high at 50%. So you can essentially have two settings for the car, one for around town driving, the other for lead-footing it... That should get you started... it's a pretty powerful and useful tool... I recommend having it tuned on a dyno so that you maximize your power and efficiency by adjusting your air-fuel ratio to stay within the bounds of the ideal air-fuel ratio for the ideal cylinder temperature upon detonation...
yes, i want to get it dyno tuned. but how does that work: do i pay per each dyno run and then tune it myself, or i give them the car and they do it for me? and do u know any plaves in VA that will do it?
