How to remove secondaries from GsR mani.?
The center section is removable, but once you get everything out of it, you will need to make sure you plug the holes left fromt he axle for the butterflies. The manifold comes apart with 4 bolts. You may need new gaskets when you go back together.
wouldnt running the manifold without the butterfly plate make
flow dependent through all 8 runners? I have been told that this
increases turbulence and reduces the ability for the fuel to atomize
making this less than efficient setup. If you want to see what the
car feels like with it all the way open all you need to do is remove
the vaccum and the secondaries will slap open. Then, plug the
vaccum hose, drive it and see if you like it. Better yet, do this
on the dyno and get a before and after.
Ericks racing has a GSR all motor 11K rpm engine. They use the
stock GSR manifold WITH THE BUTTERFLIES. They opened the
secondaries to make upper end power you can see it here:

the crossover WHP/TQ at 5250 rpm is between 125/130 which
is strong and it makes peak of 268whp at 9900 rpm peak
TQ of 148 at 7900 through 9500 where it begins to fall off
to 120 at 10800rpm... would you say this IM is sufficient?
this is good for a 10.95 second run> i dont know if this motor
is in an integra or not, maybe a civic hatch who can tell
cheers
