How much should a typical shop charge to get coilovers installed?

on a stock car...I would say $100-$125.

how about doing it yourself and saving some $$. I remember way back when I was afraid of doing any type of work on my car. Just get a HELMS manual with the money you'll spend on the install and do it yourself. But to answer you question, here in Seattle, the shops are charging around $75-100.

In CA you wouldnt pay more than $50-$60 to get your car lowered.

thanks guys. This shop around where I live wants to charge me $150 and I think thats bullshi* so I decided to do it myself. Looks like I have a project to do this weekend.
