Default How much should I charge this guy?

I do a lot of work for friends doing maintenence and modification work on my friends' Hondas, so one person tells the next, etc... that I can do stuff for them, well A good friend's roommate, who's a pretty rich guy (owns like 3 houses and a loft downtown Denver) has a '91 Integra LS that he wants me to do the head gasket for him, in the past what have you guys paid to get this done, if at all... keep in mind that it involves the timing belt.... What do you think is a fair price?

rich people hold on to their money tighter... Don't gouge him and he'll tell all his other buddies about how he "beat" the dealer with you. And possibly drive more business your way (if that's what you want). It's not about money so much for that guy...it's about winning something/ beating someone else for the same thing.

I say 300.00. Remember , rich guys have good lawyers to sue you if there ends up being a problem. Even if he overheats the thing(or something stupid) a week later and its his fault. This is why I dont do side work for strangers.

If your doing the headgasket I'd charge $300. You mentioned the timing belt? If your changing that too, I'd add at least another $75 to the estimate.
