If your running N/A high compression on LS rods.. how much HP is a good average they are able to hold ... reving to say 8k max

also will the ARP rod bolts help much at extending the abuse it can take ?

well I have heard of some guys pushing 10psi on stock ls blocks, so it sounds like they can take a decent beating, but I dunno how long that would last. ARP rod bolts would definately help the longevity of some 8k revving, but for a little extra safety maybe you should shotpeen them too

If you're going to produce 220+whp I'd strongly suggest you get some aftermarket rods like Eagles or Crowers. Both companies offer "economy" solutions that far exceed even Honda's Vtec rods for strength. Damonboost on H-T offers the Eagle rods for around $330 shipped, and he's a very pleasant fellow to deal with. If you're really not wanting to buy the insurance this will provide at least have your LS rods shot-peened, balanced, and replace the rod bolts with ARP 2ks. I would argue however that after the cost/trouble of doing all that you could've nearly paid for aftermarket rods.
