Well, you take off the moulding around gauge cluster, remove the mounting screws on the metal brackets, remove the screws under the caps on top of the dash by the window (atleast its that way on an 89), then slide it out, disconnect the wires and then its out for you to tinker...
i'm guessing you have the kind that are supposed to slide onto your gauges with out needle removal....i would say anywhere from 20-50 depending on what goes wrong...things always go wrong. I planned on swapping out my engine in 3 days and well so far its taken me almost a week.

I installed them on a 91 honda accord...it didnt take that long cause i had the service manual. The gauge cluster housing is connected to the center area where the heating controls are. other cars arent like this so i was lucky i had the book to tell me where all the screws were. Some were hiden behind vents and some were hiden behind the hazard buttons. Would have been pretty tricky without the service manual. Hooking up the power for the gauges wasnt a big deal as long as you know how to run the relay. Once you get the dash off it is very simple to attach the new gauges. I would say plan on spending 2 to 3 hours doing this project. Overall it is relatively simple

The "reverse" time to install indiglow gauge faces??
Seriously, I installed a set of indiglows in a friends ride, it was an under 1 hour and two beer job. No problem

depending how fast you can get the dash off, that is the time consuming activitity. everything else is slipping on. the wiring up is the only other question. but whenever i or anyone else says an hour there is always a complication. so at best, 1 hour at worst 2-3 hours. very simple though
