Default how to?: ITR pistons on LS rods...can anyone do this?

I have a set of ITR pistons that I wanted to put on LS rods.

However, I went to the machine shop and the guy told me straight up that he wouldn't touch them because the pistons are too narrow to fit the rods into.

He said if I wanted them in there, to take a grinder. Lil too ghetto for me. Any suggestions, or anyone that knows a place to get it done would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I'd buy new rods before taking a grinder to LS rods. Esp. with the higher compression.
