how to install sparco pedals
Yes, you only need to move the pedals slightly to miss the bar. Just make sure they're straight and that you have clearance for the nut in the back. Tips: pre-drill with a smaller (preferably cobalt) bit to prevent the larger bit from skating; once you get the first bolt on the pedal you can use the other holes in pedal cover as a guide. Finally, I know it sounds stupid but make sure you wear goggles ... bits tend to break and fly out. Good luck!

You can probably fix this a little if you're not sick of drilling yet. I would widen the bottom hole (or bottom two holes) in the correct direction such that the pedal is straight. To do this, put the drill bit through the hole and apply pressure in the correct direction with the side of the drill bit. Even with the widened holes you should be able to torque down the bolts enough to hold the pedals in place and have them look straight.
