I might be able to get a buddy of mine to do my clutch in my 99 Civic Si, but I also have a Quaife ATB and was told they are reletively in the same spot and to do it at the same time.
Anyway, is it hard to install a Quaife? Can someobdy give me some directions on how or if you guys know of a place that tells how to do it?? I don't know how hard it is to do and want to know what to do.
Please help me if you can, saving money from doing my own clutch and Quaife would help emmensly toward my Turbo install money.

If anybody else has info too.. That is also apprciated. I want to gather as much info as I possilbly can so I have many references to look at.
Thank you people.
Thank you people.
I hope your friend has experience. It requires new shims that if I were you I'd get from honda first. You will need shims to adjust the pinion depth height. Its very improtant if you want your tranny to live. Its really not to difficult if you know what your doing, if you dont it can get confusing.
Have fun.

I believe Quaife told me once that there unit didn't require new shims to it. I know when people add the Kazz unit or a stock Type R unit they do. I haven't found anyone that has re-shimmed for a Quaife unit.

This doesn't look too good for me. I dont even know what you guys are talking about. I mean, I'm not mechanic dumbass but I know what I can do and being a newbie to trannys, I just might do it safe and have it done at Payn Tech.
If you are cracking open a tranny for the first time you don't want to learn on a tranny you are going to use in your car. Get a junk tranny and play around with it if you want to learn. Mistakes can be hard to swallow especially if your initial goal was to save $$.

It's starting to look like I'm leaning towards getting done at a shop now. They are charging about $400-$500 for isntall though.
There's an install article on http://www.hondaprelude.com, right on the main page. Granted it's for a Prelude, but it's probably real close as what you're in for.
