Default How to install cam gears?Help

How hard is it to install cam gears on a b-series motor? What tools would i need?
Does the cams have to come off? thinking if i should do it myelf or not
any tips or suggestions would help!

If you don't know what you are doing, I wouldn't attempt it. You have the potential to mess up your cam timming which can potentially result in bent valves.

But if you really want too..

Pull the valve cover off, take off the dust cover on the side of the engine.
Using a 19mm socket on the crank pulley, align the TDC mark on the crank pulley to the mark on the dust cover.

Lock the cams in place with some allen wrenches (there are two holes on the top of the cams near the cam gears).

Mark TDC on the timming belt with white out, make sure it is dry and won't wipe off.

Loosen the 14mm bolts on the cam gears themselves.

On the dust cover there is a round rubber cap that covers the timming belt tensioner. Remove that, and loosen the tensioner a little bit.

Pull the old cam gears, take the cam keys and put them in the new cam gears. Install the new cam gears. Tighten down the bolt, then following the timming belt tension method described in the helms.
