Default how to install 34.3mm freeze plug?

So I spent $0.94 at autozone for a Dorman 34.3mm freeze plug.
This will replace my stock charcoal canister in the back of the block.

My question is how to install it. It's a nice tight fit, I'll have to use a rubber mallet to tap it in the hole.

Q:
1) do I need to use any kind of sealer to make sure it doesn't leak?
2) do I have to worry about it popping out after install?

TIA

....better make sure the cylinder head (vented valve cover) has plenty of ventilation.
