how to identfy vtec & non vtec distributor
Well I'm going to assume you're talking B-series in which case, LS dizzy has 3 legs spaced equally apart, VTEC dizzy has two legs somewhat close and the third is visibly offest from the two others.
Stamped into the side of every honda distributor there is a code that starts with "TD" then two numbers, then a "U".
For example, if it is a GS-R or B16A OBDI dist it will say TD-44U.
Tell us the code, and we can tell you what type it is!
