what is a normal temp for your coolant? I had noticed my temp gauge was a few ticks up form where it used to be, but there aren't any numbers on the stock gauge. I bought an autometer water temp gauge but I don't really have any idea what a normal temp is.

 

well most engines run about 1/4 to 1/2 of the temp guage. depending on what thermo you have...some work at 150 and some at 180.

 

well mine is reading about 195 if im rolling down the highway at 80 but it will cool back down to 180 sitting at a light.

I'm pretty sure the thermostat is stamped 79deg celsius.
