How do you remove the transmission from block?

I'm trying to remove my transmission from my car and I have everything removed but the transmisiion itself. The directions I have dont give any directions other than just pull it off and thats it. I've been trying to pry it off to no luck. Any suggestions?

there's always that one last elusive bolt that everybody misses.. make sure you have EVERY bolt off.

also, it's easier if you jack up one side of the engine to let gravity help you

Yeah thanks I finally got it. There was a bolt hiding under where the starter attaches. It was longer so I thought is was too far away and was holding something else.
