Default how do you clean the fuel system?

at gas stations they say they can clean your injectors and intake valves and all that. i've had it done before but they charge way too much. how do they do it? take a bottle of injector cleaner, plug it up to the brake booster.....something like that. someone hook me up with the step-by-step procedure. my car really needs it. thanks.

My shop uses an injection cleaning machine that we put GM fuel injector cleaner in. You attach it to the pressure test port on top of the filter. Then you have to block the return line going to the tank and also disable the fuel pump. Now you can start and run car off the pressure coming from machine (40psi). On my personal car, I would remove oxygen sensor and put an old one in the hole until cleaner has finished burning..If you dont attach to the fuel system the injectors wont be cleaned...3gdude
