Default how do you clean a block

Hey guys,
I am getting a new engine built for my del sol and I went to the car shp and saw the new b18c5 for my car but its all frigging dirty! There is oil and dirt all over the thing! I didnt have the heart to tell the guy to clean it before he finishes the car (Im sure he will but Im just covering all bases) So my questions is how do I clean it up and make it nice and pretty? Do I use degreaser, aluminum polish? Any help will be appreciated!

If the block is bare, ask them to throw it in the pressure washer if they got one.

Get Blue Corral All Purpose Cleaner and a pressure washer, they look brand new afterwards. Even if the block is soaked in grease for decades, this is the perfect cure.

A few cans of crc brake cleaner wil clean it up nice, if it isnt fully assembled you can just put some oil on the cylinder walls and bring it to the drive up car wash and pressure wash it. just be sure to dry the cylinder walls and re oil them so they dont rust up when done.
