take a wire and jump it from the positive terminal on your battery to the 10 mm nut on your starter that makes the connection

on the starter there is a 12v battery connection that is hot all the time, and also a spade connecter with is the solenoid wire, connect a remote starter from the pos. terminal of the battery and this spade connecter-pull the trigger on the remote starter- that would be the easiest way to make sure it works. one question does it click or anything when you try to start it? no they only thing that happens when i turn the key is a clicking noise coming from the underhood fusebox so i have some new fuses on order and hopefully that will make a difference

Lots of places around here, autozone, advance auto etc will test a starter/alt/battery, almost anything for free. Take it off and hitch a ride.

clamp it down, give power to source, trigger it with a piece of wires.

the gear stick should click and pop out and spinning like a turbo from hell

When my last starter died it click only once every time I turn to start and stall, then after a few round when it hit the right spot it will crank and start the car. My mechanic replaced it found it has a worn piece (forgot name, solenoid or something like that) that get intermittent connection problem.

Check the voltage while trying to start, if the voltage is good then it got to be the starter.
