How do I know if my head is milled?

The height (thickness?) of the head is usually measured from the bottom head gasket mating surface to the top valve cover mating surface. A dealership or maching shop should be able to tell you what the stock unmachined height is. Whatever amount your head is shorter than that is how much it has been shaved.

in the circles i have marked is there some pads that could be used for referance when meassuring how mutch the head has been milled. (its on the intake side)
