how do i get this off????????
i am removing my axel and i know you are suppose to be able to just "pry this part off, but i cant get it. Where should i be trying to pry it and what do you guys use to do it. is there a reason why it would be stuck?

just grab the axle and give it a good tug...should pop right out.
But since there is no axle there, it probably wont matter.
Instead, hit the axle with a hammer to push it off the intermediate shaft.
if you want get a socket big enough to fit in there and hammer it with the round end against the gap ive done that many times and works everytime. use a bigger hammer not just a regular one

getting it out from the trans is what u gotta do... stick a pry bar where u can put it and just pry it outa the trans.. works everytime, just need to put a little elbow grease(damn that sounded cheesy) on it
i got it off now the new one wont go back on, are you suppose to always replace that stoper ring because i think that is wat is stoping it from going back on
