Default How causes an engine to rev up?

So when I step on the gas, the throttle opens up and the fuel injection squirt more fuel into the port, but how does this translate into the eng8ine rpm's to go up?

(I'd like a technical/physics explination )

Thanks in advance.

More air, more fuel, more revolutions. Make sense?

HP!!! when your rpm is climbing, you are accellerating your motors internal components. what does it take to accellerated a mass? HP!!!

More fuel + More Air = More HP.
