no like how can you tell the difference i no the wires and dist. are different but how are they how can you determine what you have

u can tell by the serial # on the ecu..something like xxxxx-p28-xxxx which would be from a 92-95 civic EX or Si

Across the makes, it can be difficult to determine, however, all OBD-II cars have a service port, but there are also OBDI cars with a service port too. Also, for year range, OBD0 was typically pre'92, OBDI 92-95, OBDII 96-on but this can vary as well(Honda equipped it's V6 with OBDII before '96), not to mention the different "revisions" of OBDII.

The ECU part number is the best way to tell.
