Default How to adjust GSR clutch???????????

My clutch engagement point has moved way up and now the clutch engagment point is RIGHT at the top of the pedal stroke. Does anyone know the steps to adjusting the cluth (99 GSR)?

your clutch system is hydraulic and SHOULD self adjust. how long has it been like that?? i was having a similar problem every couple days with my del sol where the clutch pedal would get real stiff and catch at the top... but it would go away after like 20 minutes of driving. i replaced the clutch master cyl but haven't driven the car since... so i'm not sure if that was the problem or not. also.. do you have an aftermarket clutch?

Thanks for the reply. The clutch has been acting this way for about a month, since the last time I was at the drag strip. It only has about 36k and has been to the drag strip a couple of times. It does not seem to slip but the engagment is directly at the top of the pedal travel. I was under the impression that the clutch takeup could be adjusted, I seem to recall seeing that adjustment done by the dealership?

there's no way you can adjust a hydro clutch, it self-adjusting unless you have a cable tranny.......

You can adjust the engagement point of the clutch pedal. I had to do that on mine cause I didn't like it engaging at the very top of the stroke. I got a helms manual, I'll scan and post a pic for you to take a look at. Give me about 12 hours to do it. Cool?

Thanks for scan, much appreciated. I am not sure if the adjustments will allow me to change the engagement level or just the pedal height and travel but I'll mess aroound with it a bit and see if it helps. Thanks again.
