my boy just installed D2 coilovers on his '97 'teg, and he asked me about the ***** on top of them. (he bought these used, so there's no instructions)

i figured they were the stiffness adjustability, but neither of us could figure out how the hell TO adjust them.
you can pull the rod out of the strut, wtf does this do??
then i tried turning them when they were in the strut, but it was nearly impossible.also, what do the 1-6 "teardrop" symbols stand for???? please help on this........

 

yeah you know i had asked this same exact question about a few months ago and never got a answer but bump for you and hopefully you get an answer so we can both figure it out.
