Your cam gear should be marked which way to turn em.

i know how to adjust them.. I am just not sure which way to rotate the cam gears for advancing or retarding..

Do i rotate clockwise when advancing the intake cam?

Do i rotate clockwise when advancing the exhaust cam?

Just answer each question with a yes or no, then i can figure it out. Thanks!

Advance = Clockwise
Retard = Counter Clockwise

If you are not using adjustable cam gears, each tooth is 20 crank º.

I read it off of my CAM GEAR on my car.
That is an AEM Cam Gear BTW.

Want a picture?

Quote from Website you posted:
This is how the belt and gears will look once installed. Belt moves in counter-clockwise direction. Moving outer gear towards the right will advance cam timing and moving outer gear to left will retard. Always remember to reset timing when adjusting intake gear.
