Has anyone ever removed the steering wheel lock? Not the whole ignition cylinder, but just the mechanism that locks the wheel when the key isn't in and the wheel is turned.

its actually the lock cylinder that locks the steering wheel into place... if it bothers you... loosen the clamps that hold the ignition switch into place and "turn/install" it in a place where the lock wont engage...
