Horse Power bolt-on's
I have a 98 LS Integra and of course I want it faster. I've already done some of the no brainers like added a cold air intake, headers and I have a intake manifold I need to put on. I also plan on getting cam gears soon. Now I'm not looking to dump a **** load of cash on a turbo, which would be nice.
I'm just looking to know what the basics are. Like if a new, more powerful, fuel pump would get me some power along with fuel pressure regulator and fuel rail? stuff like that. Stuff that's not too expensive and add a little power.
Thanks for the help.

Cam gears will not add any hp.Neither will any fuel pump, fuel rail , or fpr.Your next steps would be more compression, bigger cams and engine management.

you should've gotten cams to go along with those cam gears and something to tune with. then you would see power gains.

What kinda of cam's should I get? Also I live in California so preferably something that would still let my car pass smog. Also what do I use to tuen them with?

see what http://www.crower.com has to offer. dont forget to upgrade the valvetrain if you get to big a set of cams. you can tune with with a safc if you want to keep it simple.

if u dont wanna spend big money on turbo then do a homemade turbo...if u dont want the headache of putting it together n tuning have a shop do it but then again u run into the money problem...so ur wnting to stay n/a could get expensive to...I/H/E is always a way to start n/a personaly i say save up a lil and go with turbo but...if u dont mind goin n/a than i/h/e is ur best bet...after u got that out of the way try a larger aftermarket throttle body for more air and better throttle response...then go with intake mani...Or ITB's is another way to go(do a search on ITB's)....after u got the flow out of the way invest in a nice set of cams and then cam gears to benifit the cams... then try increasing ur compression with some new pistons....now once u have some acctual hp gains going on u are goin to need the new fuel pump, high flow filter, fpr, fuel rail and injectors to benifit your new setup....then u can go on to new tranny(diff gearing), flywheel(increases throttle response and rotational mass thus getting up to high rpms quicker).
then again u can go nitrous which i dont recomend but it does give u the best bang for ur buck 400-500 buks for 50-75 hp
this will of course rack up in terms of cash but this is the only way u will get any good noticable power gains off a n/a setup

Ok I already have a skunk2 Intake manifold for my 98 Integra LS and I've been looking to upgrade the throttle body with it. I found a throttle body from a 98 JDM Honda CRV 2.0L automatic for $50. Very clean. Should this be able to fit on my 1.8L Integra manifold and give me better air flow? Or is it not going to fit or just be a waist of money? Also my car is a stick if that makes a difference

Remember to set aside some $$ for dyno time. Getting some real world numbers will allow you to see where you're at and just how much or little all those parts have helped you.
flywheel, b16tranny w/ls5th,that should make you faster than any bolt ons. (for the money)btw you did not mention if you had exhaust system just "header(S)"lol, if not then that, + b16 tranny wont mess w/ emissions

When your engine is modified to the point that your cam timing needs to be changed then youll need adjustable cam gears.. But on a stock motor all you can really do with them is move the torque curve with them..

Does anyone think I should go with this or not?
