Default Hood pins

I hate the way they look and wish my car didn't have them but they got me thinking. When do people think it is advisable to use hood pins? The car was running mid 12s and now it only runs 14s...think I should just get a new hood or leave the pins?

save your money by not getting a new good and use that money to make it go fast again
it really comes down to how much it bothers you. its not like you're going to hurt anything by leaving it there.
