Hondata or V-AFC?
hondata is better, but if you dont have a ecu yet or the availabilty of a tuner and money to get it tuned then i'll go with a vafc. you can always get a vafc for around 250 and just ask somebody with the same mods you have what they got their vafc set at
I know this topic has been covered before but the search function isn't working. For an all-motor car which would be the better choice?
dont be a bum
how are we going to make a good reply if we have no idea on what your setup is?
hondata is usually the best for everyone. there are some cases where it isnt best. for intance if no one in your area has hondata to tune your car on a dyno.
give us more info, if you actually want help deciding.
we can post:
hondata is better.
but really, is that any help to you?
I've tried several times to do a search and the archived ones didnt work and the recent ones didnt really have anything related. It was mostly turbo related. My set up is a b16a2 head, crower springs and retainers, 3 angle valve job, b18c1 block, p30 pistons, aem cai, dc 4-1 jdm header, and apex'i n1 exhaust. Plus soon I will be putting in Crower 63402 cams. Basically the reason I ask is someone with a similar setup and who seems to really know his stuff said the V-AFC is better for that type of set up. I forgot the reasons why because it was probally like 6 months ago and I have a horrible memory. He said unless you start changing the bore or stroke the V-AFC is more adaptable and better. However in my horrible memory I also seem to remember arguments saying the Hondata would be much better. So what are the arguments either way.

As far as budget they seem to cost about the same. Is tuning more expensive for a Hondata? There are shops in a reasonable distance from me that say they tune Hondatas.
