Default Hondata question... regarding o2 sensors...

All,

Currently I am running a PR3 ECU on a B16 powered EF. The PR3 reads 2 O2 sensors as many of you know. My problem is this: I will be boosting soon... One of the main problem I have is in trying to figure out which ECU to use... the problem is that the turbo setup I have purchased basically only has one O2 bunge, on the downpipe. If I use a Hondata modified PR3 it will require 2 O2 sensors... The mainfold is a simple log style(it's the Max Rev manifold). So the problem I have is that I don't think I can even tap manifold properly for two O2s. If I run Zdyne modified D16 ECU, then it has no knock sensor control etc etc. I like Hondata for the data logging... but Zdyne would solve my O2 problems...

any comments? or thoughts?

thanks.

You could always put the hondata in open loop, it wouldnt read either o2 sensor.

Other option would be to go to a 92-95 ecu.

between the two options? would 92-95 be the better option?

It would seem to me that not being in open loop would make the car run better?

One more question... hehe any 92-95 B series ECU?

thanks,
-Shing

You can put as many O2 bungs in the downpipe as you'd like. They're cheap and any exhaust shop could install one in 15 minutes.

you could put 100 O2s in the downpipe. the car will still stumble and hesitate
all over the place. that ecu has a super backwards program.
It runs good in open loop, just gas mileage goes down a bit.

If you wanted to go to a 92-95 system, you can use a p28 ecu.
Just need to get the harness adapter, and wire up a 4 wire o2 sensor.
