Default hondata issues....

Ok, here's the deal. I got the hondata s200 w/boost and the P28 with obd2 connectors pre done from ks motorsports . After install of the unit the car ran like crap. It ran like it was only on two cylinders and was not driveable. The hondata unit showed a solid red led but the car was throwing a cel. After Inline Pro hooked their thing up it did not give a code at all. I was told when this happens it's usually due to a bad ECU. If anyone else has any insight to this, please help. I'm getting ready to send the hondata back out to them and hope that things can be fixed. Thanks

yea, it was checked over. Oh yea, failed to metion. Inline pro put in a S100 setup for the same size injectors and the car ran fine. Not one problem. Idle and rev'd perfect. Couldn't drive it though because that one wasn't set up for boost.

Talk to guy at Hondata, he is really cool.
He can help you fix your problem, sounds like a bad hondata unit maybe.

yea, that's what we figured. He kinda made it seem like it was something with my car. But there was not one problem with the FMU fuel setup and the only thing done was the hondata. I'm sending it out today and hopefully will hear back from them tuesday.

Yea, I would check your EPROM first... Maybe try swapping it with another... If that's not the case then maybe the best thing is to just let Hondata look at it... Was your car really running on a couple cylinders or did it just feel like it?? Sorry this is kind of off the topic.. Have you run an 11.4@128 with only 380hp or is that just estimated... I was just curious tho, if that's true is that full interior?? I have a couple friends running GSR turbo EK's one with a stock sleeves and JE 9.0:1 slugs.. The other being sleeved.. Both running Portflow heads, Hondata, RevHard stage 2C kits... On 12lbs. (T3/T04E) the first on made 355whp and has a best of 11.90@120... The second one just got dynoed a week ago and ran a 12.3@125 on 17lbs. (T4/60-1 430whp)... He let off at 9000rpm in 4th and coasted through the traps... It should be able to do low 11's... I guess we'll see this weekend... Good Luck
EDIT: Damn I type slow, haha... When I started my response there was only 2 posts... Hope you get up and running soon

yea, steve sakai checked the eprom and it was fine. It actually just ran like it was on 2 cylinders, i wasn't there when they checked it out. Yes, the 11.4 run was on 380whp. The car was full interior including the cage. Sounds good, 430whp, should hit a low low 11 easily.
