Default Hondata Gasket

I am considering using a hondata gasket. Are they any downsides to it? I dont drive my civic in the winter so a cold start isnt a problem. Is the performance worth 60 dollars? What does a honda gasket cost in comparison?

The hondata intake manifold gasket is made to decrease intake manifold temperatures.

A stock honda intake manifold gasket can be purchased for $6.23 + shipping from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...NIFOLD+%282%29

NOTE: Price quoted for a 2000 Honda Civic HX.

no, the intake manifold heats up due to head temperature and due to underhood engine bay temps ... disconnecting the coolant from the t/b and manifold will just cause your idle to fluctuate annoyingly.

The hondata gasket is made out of delrin which the V8 guys use so there is less heat transfer ... in theory ... no experience whether it actually does anything, my inclination is to try it since it can potentially cool the fuel too ... btw, fuel rail is separated by a type or cork to not conduct heat so anything helps.
