Hondata in an auto.
I just bought a hondata system for a HT member.
It is a P28 ecu with stage 2
I have a 92 prelude SI with 4WS and an Auto. H23
Can they configure that to run none vtec when I get it tuned?
ALso My drive 4 light flashes. Is this going to work ?
If this is not going to work I have a P06 ECU also. But need to know before I take it 6 hours away to get it tuned.
Thank you

Your D4 light is flashing because you have a tranny code in your ECU. 9 times out of ten, it is a speed sensor related problem. If your speedo works, short the SCS connector and read the code.
Trending Topics
The SCS connector is the two pin connector behind the glove box, you short it and the check engine light will stay on steady if there are no codes, and blink if there are any trouble codes stored in memory. The D4 light will also blink codes, if there are any tranny codes stored. Code #17 on the CEL is the speed sensor. I don't remember of the top of my head what code the D4 light will give you for the speed sensor. Pull the codes and use the chart in the manual to see what circuit is the problem, or post them, and I am sure that someone will be able to look them up for you. Then you will know what components to look at.

Well if he went to the website it says . It is recommended to use the s200 rather than the Stage 2/3/4 system unless the ECU requires the use of the Stage 2/3/4 system (PR3, PW0 or automatic ECUs).
so it should work on an auto, but i'm not gonna say yea it will unless i know for sure, and the only way to know for sure is to call hondata and ask. or don't ahve long distance e-mail them.

Very good information. On Most Automatic Hondas, if the D4 light is blinking, check the speed sensor. 92-95 Legends are notorious for having the electronic sensor replaced. There is a chance that that year Honda Prelude shares the same sensor or something similar.

Thank you I will check the code when I get off work tonight. Then I will let you know what I find out .
Is it just that the speed sensor wont work with that ecu or what ?
Because I have never had a problem like that before?
Thanks

ECU code #22 is for the VTEC pressure valve. I am not at work, so I can't look up tranny codes right now. I have the ECU codes stored on my hard drive.
