Default Hondabond a must use?

Im doing a cam install wondering if have use hondabond on the cam caps at the cam gear side or can i use any other silicone gasket sealer? I also need to use it on my coolant line where the coolant goes from the engine to the radiator on top. Its leaking and i need to put a new seal on it.

Permatex Ultra Grey is the generally agreed-upon substitute for Hondabond and is available at almost any auto parts store.

I wouldnt use the copper on cam caps. Hondabond or the Permatex Ultra grey, the grey is for aluminum on aluminum contact so it works best. But im sure the Ultra black would work fine.

I usually use the copper for exhaust manifolds, high heat places.

The Copper should also work well, and has higher heat tolerance.
