Default Honda Techs, please answer me, Electrical problem!!!! PLEASE READ!!!

Ok, I have a 2000 civic Ex, where i recently swapped in a B16a2, everything was running fine, no problems...

About 2 weeks ago, I went into a minor flood... Instantly my VTEC wouldn't open, and also... My alternator stopped charging... I changed the alternator and the speed sensor..

I took the OEM alternator to the nearest autoparts, and the machine said it was good... anyway, I left the otherone in there... I put in a DX Speed Sensor, since I was told these units all are the same...

Now my miles are crazy, meaning it never shors mph, it just jumps from 0-40-14-170mph, and so on, constantly, crazyly without a stop, also the speedometer wont work for at least 15 minutes after you start the car in the morning, meaning VTEC wont engage either.

The other proble is, everytime i start the car, my check engine light, I've had it on since I removed the cat, but thats not the issue, the check engine light, ebrake light, door open light, and seat belt light, kinda go down and up on electrical power, like up and down on the light, like if the car was having a wave of electricity.. does it for like 1 minute, then it goes away, for exmaple, if i turn on the headlights, you can see how they dim down, and up at high-slow speeds... goes away after a minute...

After what I've learned, I say its my ECU, which I had to dry with a hair drier after the flood... Whadda ya guys say?

someone PLEASE HELP! and respond..

Check the wires at the vss/ alternator plug for corrosion from water that never dried. Also if you have bad (rusty) grounds it will also have similar problems. While your at it check the ground thats on the thermostat housing, it can also lead to wierd problems.

Usually they say place a flooded ecu in the oven with it open and low heat. A hair drier is probably fine as long as you heated evenly.

I checked the ground on the tranny, and the ground on the valve cover, sanded both down.... I checked plugs for corrosion, I cant seem to see anything wrong.. I put my other o2 sensor today, check engine light came off,, and then once the lights started dimming, light came back on...
