home made turbo (1st time here)
Wuzup guyz and lady's
I really need some big time help.
I own a '00 civic ex,
I made it turbo -home made- its a IHI its a small turbo i dont really know the size of it, but it boost @ 7psi stock, i actually got it from a mazda mx-6.
i got a walbro fuel pump, b&m fuel press reg, neuspeed wires, exhaust (not straight pipe) i have the v-afc II but is not tuned...
i dont feel alot of power from the car, it has a nice boost but i realy dont now and i'm also worried that i mess up any pistons becz they are stock... when warmed up the car idles @ around 650rpm as it shows on the v-afc....is that normal?
how would i know if i damaged the pistons or how can i fine tune it so it can run smoother....please any suggestion .... oh and i am on a limited budget...
thanks

Check for leaks. And do a compression test.

650 is a normal idle. You can tune the vafc with your *** dyno, you'll be fine. Just dont go negative with the fuel and you'll be ok. Start by adding a lot and then pulling some out as you see fit. Its safer to start with it too rich instead of too lean. Make sure you have good plugs and timing.
