holley airmass ceramic headers??
Just wondering if anyone here uses these ceramic coated headers? And how u like them? As far as i know, holley is a really good brand in the racing world, but i never hear of anyone having these! well if you do have them let me know what u think, or if you know anyone that has them! thanks!
I have the shocrom airmass header, it's supposedly the exact same as the neuspeed (same carb #), both of which are made by a separate company. Quality isn't that great, but I dunno exactly how it compares to DC, etc (never seen inside any other headers other than the really expensive ones like JUN, etc). The ports and welds were pretty poor imho, so I spent some time cleaning all of them up (just internally for flow purposes). If you can get one pretty cheap, might as well get it, but otherwise I'd go for something a bit better quality. I got mine fairly cheaply, and don't intend to use it forever, planning to boost in the somewhat near future.
thanks for the reply!
i definetly won't be getting them! That's pretty hurting that a company that makes good products for the domestic cars comes out with **** for the imports!

yea, my friend has it, it doesn't LOOK all that great, but i think they're hardcore cheap, i was thinkin about them too, any1 else have anythin else to say?
The Airmass was my first header. Personally, I didn't think the quality was bad. The welds @ the flange weren't the greatest, but for $300, you're not gonna get the Tig welds & flawless transitions that come with an $800 header. I was actually impressed with the quality of the merges from 4-2 & 2-1. All three were a lot cleaner than I expected. On the other hand, the secondaries and collector are too small for optimum performance, unless your keeping the stock-size exhaust, so I wouldn't recommend it. I say spend the extra hundred dollars or so & get something with more potential - like a Comptech or ITR header.
